First Light
First Light currently hosts community events focused on connection and conversation. In parallel, we are developing a structured program and group offerings to support women as they transition from survival toward thriving.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to guide women from survival mode back to wholeness, provide a safe community to heal after trauma, and to rebuild identity through community, accountability and honesty.

Impacts After Trauma
31–45% of rape survivors develop long-term PTSD in their lifetime.
Many survivors feel disconnected from their bodies—even years later.
Harmful coping is common when pain goes unprocessed, can include disordered eating, self-harm, emotional detachment, or people-pleasing
Some survivors become hypersexual as a way to reclaim control, feel wanted, or avoid emotional pain.
All are valid trauma responses not character flaws. People often minimize or normalize what happened to them.
At First Light, We don’t turn survival into a diagnosis, we name the experiences, understand them, and gently walk with women as they find their way back to themselves.
